Sources over at TheWrap.com say that Skydance and Universal have both confirmed that Lin will be directing. While this news does come as a surprise to me I'm still interested in how this will play out for the Star Trek universe, Lin is no stranger to large scale big budget action movies but this does seem to be his first SciFi film.
